These StaVin's Oak Beans (cubes) are made from high quality oak from France. They have been seasoned for 3 years, and then fire toasted by hand. Oak cubes impart complex flavor and aroma profiles to wine, rivaling those of old favorite barrels. The beans, with their barrel-like gradation of color, provide a slow, controlled extraction.
A note on the toast levels: medium toast is the lightest, heavy toast is the darkest, and medium plus toast is between the two.
